BIOG www.adamleon.com Formed in the spring of 2002, Leon has produced two "Mini-A's" (mini albums), "Are we having fun yet?" and "Moonflower". "Are we having fun yet?" Received avid attention by Record Producers and Management Companies in The UK, USA and Belgium and has been aired on SKY Television's Music Choice, XFM, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and BBC Radio Nottingham, where they were given the accolade of Artist of the Week in October 2000. Their music has been described as original melodic rock, "_will appeal to people who like alternative rock, such as The Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Nickleback with a smattering of Britpop" - Peterborough Herald & Post (October 2002) Leon self funded with the help of 76 gigs around clubs in the UK, a self managed tour of the USA in October 2002. Played at the highly regarded Winter Park Art's Festival in Florida which was host to around 40'000 people over the 3-day festival. Q & AWhat’s the bands name? We called after the lead singer adam LEON What are your influences? Queen, Green day, Chilli Peppers Who is the front man? We have Adam Leon, Lead Vocals, Electric and acoustic guitars, Piano and live engineer. Very out going. Who’s on Bass? We have Franco Caprio and he also does harmonies and plays acoustic guitar and very good on TV. Who’s on Drums? We have Sean Dunmore and plays acoustic guitar and does harmonies and can sing like Sting. Who’s on Lead guitar? We have Conner Owen. What’s different about LEON to other bands? They don’t use any back line at all. It’s all done through Line 6 and Sands amp modules and go direct into the P.A. Which means they sound just like the CD but bigger. LEON to
date have: We self fund our selves by playing 140 pub/bar/night clubs shows all around the U.K a year! We are not afraid of hard work and working with Brian Reeves has really opened our eyes to pocket and groove. We are very easy to work with and have no problem working with other songwriters.
